Although our main focus at Camp Kitaki is our summer camp programs, we offer many different ways for kids of all ages to enjoy camp during the non summer months. One such way is our Campout programs offered throughout the year. Each program has a different focus or theme, and each is staffed by the same highly trained people who make up our summer staff. These events also provide a great way to "try out" camp for a shorter time frame the our summer programs.

Spring Round Up Campout

YMCA Camp Kitaki Spring Round-Up Campout
Children ages 7-14
Price includes activities (including horses!), meals, and lodging.

Bring your child to Camp Kitaki as we "round-up" horses and kids for a weekend of fun. Camp Kitaki will provide a weekend of western excitement your kids are sure to love. We will have a rootin' tootin' good time with a western campfire, trail rides for everyone (weather permitting), contests, a real western hoe-down, take home crafts and new friendships to build as we gallop into summer. Enjoy spring and the coming of summer with the good ‘ole outdoors and traditional Camp Kitaki magic
This two night Campout is held in late April.

Fall Round Up Campout

YMCA Camp Kitaki Fall Round-Up Campout
Children ages 9-14
Price includes activities (including horses!), meals, and lodging in Wolfe Canyon

Bring your child to Camp Kitaki as we "round-up" horses and kids for a weekend of fun. Camp Kitaki will provide a weekend in the wild west to give your child a taste of what summer ranch camp is all about. Gather round the fire for a an old fashioned sing along. Learn more about horses through fun games, trail rides and arena activities for everyone (weather permitting), a real western hoe-down, take home crafts and new friendships to build as we gallop out of the summer. Enjoy the coming of fall and say good-bye to the horses with the good ‘ole outdoors and traditional Camp Kitaki magic.

Halloween Camps

HALLOWEEN CAMP OVERNIGHTS

AGES 7-14
A haunted hike, ghostly stories, a frightful haunted hayrack ride, the spookiest haunted house ever seen at Camp Kitaki. Dance & costume contest and prizes. Treats and many other goulish goodies! A few spooky visitors will be hanging around too. Don't miss this Halloween designed just for you!

Halloween Camps are held on Friday and Saturday nights during the last two weekends in October.

New Year's Live

YMCA Camp Kitaki New Year's Live Campout
For children ages 7-14
Price includes activities (including 'Olympik' style games and the New Year's Countdown), meals, great staff, and heated lodging.

Let Camp Kitaki put the finishing touches on your child's winter break! Register your child for New Year's Live. We will have a New Year's Celebration to ring in the New Year with contests, dancing, and memories. Reunite with summer friends and staff. Enjoy the winter wonderland with outdoor games and adventures that only Kitaki can offer and maybe a little traditional Camp Kitaki magic.

New Years Live is held December 29th through January 1st each year.

Cabin Fever Campout

For kids ages 7-14
Price includes activities, meals, and overnight lodging in heated cabins.

Do your kids have cabin fever? Camp Kitaki has the cure! Join us for a magical overnight filled with, crafts, spells, Quidditch and other wizard games, and a chance to win the house cup! If weather permits, we will enjoy Camp Kitaki's giant sledding hill (and tasty hot cocoa when we are done), so pack your warm gear and get ready to break your cabin
fever, Camp Kitaki style!

This overnight Campout is held in mid February and provides a great opportunity for parents to enjoy a night out for Valentines Day!

Masterpiece Teenager Arts Weekend

YMCA Camp Kitaki Masterpiece Teenager Arts Weekend
Children ages 11-15
Price includes activites, all art supplies, projects, meals, and heated lodging.

Bring your teen to Camp Kitaki for a weekend full of fun and creativity. Choose an arts focus and complete various take home projects with helpful instruction by Kitaki Staff, and local experts! The weekend finishes up with an art show for the parents featuring your son's or daughter's work.

This two night campout is held the last full weekend in February.
