Personal Pricing & Financial Assistance
We believe the Lincoln YMCA and a healthier lifestyle should be available to every family, every person and every budget. That is why we offer an income-based fee scale called Personal Pricing. This is an exciting program designed to fit the financial situations of a greater number of individuals and families. Your Personal Pricing rate is determined by your income level and family size. Personal Pricing provides affordable monthly membership rates for families with annual incomes under $45,000 and individual adults with annual incomes under $35,000.
It is easy to find out if you are eligible for YMCA Personal Pricing/Financial Assistance. Print and complete the following application; submit it to any Lincoln YMCA location along with the requested forms of income verification.

Q: Who is eligible for YMCA Personal Pricing/Financial Assistance?A: An active older adult on a fixed income, a single parent who is trying to make ends meet, a family in transition, someone who needs a little help for a while--all of these are the faces of YMCA Personal Pricing.
Q: How is the amount I pay determined?
A: Personal Pricing is based on the annual gross income and the number of dependents for a household. We offer a sliding fee scale after completion of a confidential application. Multiple discounts do not apply.
Q: Is it possible to join the YMCA for free?
A: The YMCA believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed when a person contributes to the cost of their YMCA involvement. Therefore, applicants are expected to pay a portion of the fee.
Q: How soon is the amount determined?
A: Completed applications will be reviewed within 10 working days. A completed application must include proof of all household income (see list on application). Notification of application status is sent by mail.
Q: Will I be treated differently? Will other members know my Personal Pricing rate?
A: Only you and the Personal Pricing Coordinator will have access to your application. We track assistance data, but only in terms of numbers and statistics--not by names.
Q: Is Personal Pricing available for all programs offered by the YMCA?
A: Personal Pricing is available for memberships and most programs. For details on specific program prices, please contact the office of the YMCA location conducting the program.
