Northeast YMCA Youth Programs

Pom & Cheer

Pom and Cheer classes teach terminology and basic skills on motions, jumps and movement combinations. Groups will be taught several cheers and chants to show off at the recital at the end of the session.

Dance Classes

Fun-filled choreographed 13 week dance classes for children ages 3 and up. All classes are followed by a dance recital all friends and family can enjoy. In all our dance classes, self expression is highly recommended. So get on those dancing shoes and join us for some fun.

Teen Time

Teen time offers your teen an amazing option. This supervised middle school program is designed to give all involved the opportunity to participate in a fun, safe, and supportive atmosphere. Students will be given many options to learn, grow, and evolve into productive young adults through the many activities and topics we plan to bring to their afternoon, while keeping our mission at the forefront of our planning.

Home School Gym

A fun, educational fitness program for kids ages 5-13 years old that will teach and encourage teamwork, self confidence, character building, and athletic skill development through the teaching of sports, games, and exercise.

Youth Fitness Training

Youth fitness training is a perfect way for any child to get started towards their fitness goals. This class is for 12-14 year olds who are interested in keeping their bodies strong and healthy. The class will instruct on safety and proper techniques in using all workout area equipment, as well as discussion of character development, weight room etiquette, basic nutrition, and the effects of drugs, alcohol and smoking on the body.

Youth Gym

Youth gym is for energetic youths who enjoy fun-filled physical activities and games. Classes also include stories that teach kids about proper nutrition. Youth gym is an excellent program for social interaction, building motor skills, and keeping kids active and healthy. What a perfect way for kids to stay active and find new friends while the parent enjoys a workout of their own.

Tall Flag Color Guard

This class will be great training for those who are already on a color guard, tall flag team for 2008 fall or those that are interested in finding another fun activity to learn. Bring your enthusiasm for the sport because you will have the option of performing as an exhibition sport at the Cornhusker State Games Baton Competition.

Tumbling Classes

Tumbling classes are gymnastics classes with an emphasis on floor exercises. Your children will smile from ear to ear as they experience a whole new world of fun.

Tae Kwon Do is an ancient Korean martial art that was originally designed to provide a set of principles for life and method of physical training that enabled a student to develop their self-confidence, self-control, and self-defense skills.
