LINCOLN, Neb. – This summer, the YMCA of Lincoln’s Summer Day Camp programs are offering kids an enriching, learning experience to help them get more out of summer break. Summer is a critical out-of-school time when children and teens can benefit from enriched learning, new experiences and making new friendships. The Y offers day camps throughout the summer for kids age 3 through 8th grade that can help them do just that. Parents can sign up for the entire summer or choose the weeks that work in their schedule. Lincoln YMCA Members can register for camps starting today while those without a membership can begin registration on January 6.

YMCA Summer Day Camps provide exciting and educational camp programming for children and teens including new themes and field trips each week such as “The Great Outdoors” with a fishing trip to Holmes Lake or “Christmas in July” with a trip to the Breslow Ice Rink. The Y also offers specialty camps like Creative Camp that allows your children to think in new and exciting ways or Running Creek Camp that will watch them explore the outdoors and appreciate the wonders of the world we live in. And, to ensure that all youth have the chance to experience camp, the YMCA offers financial assistance to those in need.

Camps are offered at four YMCA of Lincoln locations including Cooper, Copple Family, Fallbrook and Northeast and will run throughout the summer beginning on May 26.
