Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE), in partnership with YMCAs across the state, is offering 21 free flu shot clinics this fall. These clinics are open to everyone aged six and older, regardless of health insurance coverage.

Registration is encouraged, but walk-in appointments are welcome at all flu shot clinic locations. Links to register will open 14 days before each clinic and close 24 hours before the clinic is scheduled to start.
Clinic health care staff will gather insurance details and file claims for those with health insurance coverage. For individuals without insurance, BCBSNE will cover the cost of the flu shot. Vaccines will be administered by Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Public Health Solutions and the Red Willow Health Department.
“Getting your flu shot is essential for preventing illness and protecting not only your health but also the health of those around you,” said Dr. Josette Gordon-Simet, BCBSNE’s chief medical officer. “The clinics provide a great opportunity for us and community members to demonstrate our commitment to health and well-being.”
