At the YMCA, we believe in creating spaces where every teen has the opportunity to thrive, connect, and grow. Teen Night at the Northeast YMCA is designed with that vision in mind, offering teens access to healthy, educational, and constructive activities—all at no cost.
Funded by the Juvenile Justice Prevention Fund from Lancaster County, this program provides a safe environment for teens to participate in activities like swimming, gym workouts, arts and crafts, and even cooking classes. Beyond fun, these experiences are essential in steering youth away from risky behaviors while helping them build confidence and community.
Over the last three years, 1,300 teens have participated in Teen Night, with attendance growing steadily. In 2023, more than 600 teens joined in -- a testament to the power of creating opportunities for connection and growth.
One of the most inspiring stories from our Teen Night program is Taylor's journey. As a middle schooler, Taylor struggled to make friends and engage in school activities. Since joining Teen Nights, Taylor has built lasting friendships, found supportive mentors, and grown into a more confident, connected individual. Watching Taylor thrive in this environment is a reminder of why this program is so impactful.
We are incredibly grateful to the Juvenile Justice Prevention Fund for helping us make a lasting impact on teens in our community. Through continued support of Teen Night, we hope attendees will leave inspired to embrace healthy and positive activities that will enrich their lives for years to come.
If you have a teen aged 12–15 who could benefit from Teen Night, join us on the last Saturday of each month, January through October, from 5:30-8:30pm. For questions or more information, please contact edavis@ymcalincoln.org.
