Veteran visits with YMCA members

LINCOLN, Neb. – In honor of Veterans Day, the YMCA of Lincoln invites all veterans and members of our armed forces and their immediate families to try any Lincoln YMCA location for free Friday, November 8 through Monday, November 11 for the Y’s Veterans Day Open House. The initiation fee for all new members joining in the month of November will also be waived.

With five branches located throughout Lincoln, all facilities feature an indoor pool with dedicated lap swim and recreational open swim times, as well as a full-size gymnasium. Open House attendees are encouraged to participate in one of the numerous Group Exercise class offerings including cardio and strength training, yoga, kickboxing, cycling, MixxedFit®, water aerobics, boot camp and more.

Child Watch is available for ages 6 weeks to 10 years for up to two hours per child while their parent/guardian utilizes the facility.

The YMCA also invites all members and guests to show their appreciation for our military men and women by taking a moment to write a Thank You note to those who serve. Note cards will be available at each branch and will be delivered to service men and women in the Lincoln community.

To attend, simply bring a valid photo ID to the Front Desk area. Minimum age is 19+ unless accompanied by an adult (19+). For more information about facility and Child Watch hours, Group Exercise schedules or the YMCA’s youth policy, visit ymcalincoln.org or contact your neighborhood Lincoln Y location.
